How Can i go about JAMB’s Registration?: The registration process for this year 2018 JAMB is quite different from previous years, candidates will have to provide ePINS from the under listed source
- NIPOST and eleven Participating Banks (ACCESS, ECOBANK, FIRSTBANK, FCMB, FIDELITY, JAIZ, SKYE, STERLING, UNION, UNITY and ZENITH)
- Four Mobile Money Operators: Paga, e-Tranzact (PocketMoni), TEASYPay and Packway Projects (Readycash)
- Two participating Micro Finance Banks: FUD MFB (Dutse) and Regent MFB (Abuja)
- Two online Payment Platforms: SystemSpecs (Remita) and InterSwitch (Quickteller)
- POS (Citi-Serve)
- ATMs of banks listed in 5C (i) above (InterSwitch)
- USSD (NIBSS & ERCAS) for mobile banking
- Nigerian Embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Buea, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg and London
After successfully obtaining ePins, candidates are to proceed to JAMB accredited centers for registration
In line with the Board’s regulated registration exercise, only the accredited Computer Based Test Centres and JAMB Offices will be allowed to register candidates, and Each candidate should visit any accredited CBT centre with his/her personal details, the profile and evidence of payment
Can i carry out my registration at a Cyber Cafe?: Certainly no, this was made clear by the Jamb Registrar that only accredited Computer Based Test Centres and JAMB Offices will be allowed to register candidates, therefore all candidates are expected to carry out their registration only through JAMB’s accredited centres. What are my JAMB subject combination for my courses?: This alone can affect your chances of gaining admission to a particular course, therefore leading to either a change of course or student forfeiting their admission. To this effect i have compiled a list of JAMB’s subject combination for all courses, i would advice all JAMB candidates to go through this before commencing their registration,to access the list.
Can i use awaiting result for my Jamb registration?: Yes, you can use awaiting result for your Jamb registration, you must note that using awaiting result does not mean you won’t be providing your O’level result at all, it simply means you won’t be uploading your O’level result for now but will be providing it before the end of your admission exercise, so if you must use Awaiting result then be sure the result will be ready for upload before the end of your admission processing.
How many subject am i expected to write?: All Jamb candidates will be writing four subject, it’s none negotiable, with English compulsory, candidates will be given the opportunity to choose the remaining three courses themselves, please these courses must be in line with the JAMB subject combination i highlighted earlier
How long will the Exam take?: Based on last year experience the Exam should last for a maximum time of 2 hours, unlike previous years where the Exam would last for 3 hours.
How many questions am i to expect from Jamb?: Candidates are to expect 180 questions. The test on Use of English which used to be 100 questions has been reduced to 60 questions, while the other three subjects would be 40 questions each, making a total of 180 questions.
Do i Have to attend a computer school to be able to answer jamb CBT test?: Well that ultimately depends on how familiar you are to a system, if you can use your mouse properly then there is no need to attend any form of cbt training center, JAMB has made it even simpler that you can either use your mouse or keyboard for answering questions.
