Pharmacists Say Banning Codeine Won’t Stop Drug Abuse

According to the National Chairman of the ACPN, Dr Albert Kelong Alkali, only a tracking system that ensures that all drugs manufactured and imported into the country are well-accounted for is the only solution to the menace. He also called for a partnership between the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Pharmacists and other like bodies to ensure that the new National Drug Distribution Guideline (NDDG) is implemented.
